Music Community
To create an gig or event, go to the Gig & Events page and click the "+Add" link (on top right) or click on "+Event" from the "Quick Links & Add Box" from the right side of each page.
Next, fill in information about your gig or
event. If you upload an image it should be roughly square in size so it doesn't get distorted once the event is created. In the "Description" field, you can add text, hyperlinks, images and even files with the text editor.
By default, any event you add to our GBOB Community Network will appear as organized by you and will link to your My Profile Page. However, you can change the event organizer by modifying the "Organized By" field.
You can also specify the Privacy settings for your event. Anyone can RSVP to a public event, while only invited people can RSVP to private events.
Please note that no email notifications are sent out when someone RSVPs to your gig or event.
Some information about private events will still be visible to all members of your network, including the title, start time, event type, and organizer. You can choose to disable RSVP altogether, which will prevent members or you from seeing what people have responded with, or hide the guest list to protect people's privacy if needed.
Click "Add Gig/Event" and your event will be added to the GBOB Community Network GIGS & EVENTS!
To spread the word about your event, invite people to RSVP! You can invite people by typing in email addresses, selecting from your list of friends across GBOB Community, importing your web address book, or importing from an address book application.
To invite people to an event, go to the event's page and click the "Invite More People" link. Invitees will need to join your Ning Network in order to RSVP for the event.
To see who has responded, go to your event's detail page. Please note that no email notifications are sent out when someone RSVPs to your event. From here, you can see which members have responded, whether they will, will not or might attend your event.
You can click on the "Export List of Attendees" link to see a simple Excel spreadsheet of who will be there.
Clicking on the "Export to Outlook or iCal" link will add the event to your calendar and show you who will and who might be attending.
If you are the creator of an event, you can disable RSVPs, hide the guest list or close the event to new attendees by enabling those options after you click the "Edit" button of an event.
