Band History:
Chiroptera was founded in 2005 in the purpose of having a duel at the new talents discovery contest "Mediabefuto". To be able to present a more elaborate production, they needed a new guitarist(Riff). The band called The Fekete Cicak was now composed of four members: Thomas, Kristal, Riff and the bassist Storm who also joined the band. After the first song called Something For Nothing, the four artists composed the song called Schwarze Engel.
After this they decided to change definitely the band name to Chiroptera.
During the first two months the band's style began to crystallize, going towards visual metal with several genre influences like heavy, power, gothic metal and darkwave music.
For almost half a year Chiroptera Worked on new songs, though they were still missing a drummer. In march 2006 the band found a drummer named Ferenc. After two more months of rehearsals, on may 5, Chiroptera's first concert took place at the Theoretical Highschool Bartok Bela from Timisoara. Chiroptera henceforth received numerous invitations to concerts.
After the concert at the Mall, Feri left the band not before recommending and presenting to the band members his friend Cristy who was a drummer and who also remained a stable member in the band.
Since then the band has had many concerts such as Road Patrol fest, Metalbox club, Union Square, Iulius Mall, Hungarian Theater, Hungary-Gyor, big festivals suck as Vine fest and others more.
After all this, they recorded they're first album called Schwarze Engel and because in the album there are two guitars, the band recruited a new member, Tiby.
What is very important to the band is not just their music but also their live appearance and shows and this means costumes and makeup to deliver the best show.
