Heavy Soul are a band like few others. Their unrelenting self belief, dedication
and songwriting abilities have earned them praise on an international
level , from their hometown of Edenderry in the Irish midlands to
major events in Glasgow, Scotland and London , England. They have also
gained notoriety with the Irish/American community in the U.S.A,
having four of their tracks played on radioirish, Americas only Irish station, they were also voted best Irish rock band by the station and listeners. Closer to home they have been on Dublin's radio Nova for live interview/session, also Dublin's Near 90.3fm.
In April of last year the band won the Wales heat of Global Battle of The Bands (GBOB.COM) and went on to play the world finals at the Scala in London on December 9 where they competed for a cash prize of 100,000 US Dollars, an international tour and album release. The band are honoured to be the second Irish band in the final since Kopek.
