Kailo is a finnish alternative pop band that unites a strong and unique female voice to colorful playing and innovative compositions. Kailo was born offically in  the year 2011 when the band released an unoffical demo and started touring in Southern Finland. The band was collaborated by Valtteri Harsu and Milja Mäkelä who had already made music together for some time. The dynamic duo of Harsu and Mäkelä write the songs seperately and together. The songs get their final form with the whole band when Antti Siniranta and Tapani Levanto give away their arrangement ideas for the songs. Kailo's music is refreshing and exciting, and it has been notified all over despite Kailo short span of activity. Kailo's drummer Antti Siniranta has also played in popular indie band called The Friend that has been notified by various music bloggers and the singer Milja Mäkelä is know for her YouTube performances, which have gained millions of views.

The Kailo EP has been recorded and produced together with Mikko M. Koskinen in the Autumn of 2011. Mikko M. Koskinen is known for his bands The Friend and Yournalist. The artwork has innovative way of using the latest QR -technology and it has been designed by an australian graphic designer Ahmed Salama.
