Panser is a thrash metal band from Norway. The band was formed in 2008 by Formodalen and Løvf as a cover band. But with Formodalen's creativity, Panser's own material emerged from the dark.
With a couple of songs and some very primitive demos in the box, the rhythm section was filled with Loekka and Engell and a more appropriate rehearsal room excavated from the deep forests. A handful of gigs were played, and the positive response to their own material led to further composition and finally the recording of their debut album "Panser". "Panser" was recorded on two weekends and four nights and funded by the soon repaid credit card, and has by the Italian Sodapop Magazine been described as a Norwegian "Ride the Lightning".
Panser seeks to push its thrash metal forward by going back to the roots, to Slayer, Metallica and Megadeth, and unite the riffs and power from these bands with classic British heavy metal harmonies and the modern metal brutality.
