Rock Paper Scissors is a classical American game but at the same time it is a true metaphor expressed in gestures. It shows in a simply manner how much of our life course is influenced by ambiguous notions like chance, luck, coincidence, risk and even more so by inspiration and instinct. At the beginning chance united two of us, Marin and Andrei. Going to the same school and both dreaming of having a band resulted in us spending night after night playing our guitars in search of our own music. We’ve rented a rehearsal room. At this point we’ve met Voix (Catalin), who was playing drums in a room next door. We actually knew each other prior to this, but we didn’t know he could play the drums like this. But, as we said before, it’s all up to chance as well. We saw the chance and so, in 2010, we became three. Chance played its role again and a Facebook friend of Voix recommended us a guy who she heard singing at a musical improvisation party. And so we met the guy named Alex who brought voice, lyrics and ideas of his own into the making of our sound. Thus, we were four at this point, all of us bursting with new, personal tunes. It all came together very quickly. And so, after about four months, we were playing a set list of 10 songs, all of them original Rock Paper Scissors creations. We kept working on more and more tunes and then we’ve added a fifth creative engine to the Rock Paper Scissors music machine when we met Petru. He is our bass player. He rounded our sound and he loves playing live just as much as the rest of us. So, our performance on and off stage became even stronger. Now it’s time to go to another level. And GBOB gave us a new chance which we will enjoy to the fullest.
