The dAdA Bio
The dAdA, this alternative rock band with indie, raggae and garage influences was formed in May 2006 and was named 15 Grade. 15 Grade became The dAdA in June, 2010 when Theodor Nicolae joined the band. In just 2 months, The dAdA, comes with 7 brand new songs and wins the second prize at the contest Stufstock Newcomers 2010.
The band went trough some changes over the years, but now the members are as fallows: Septimiu Urzica (vocals, guitar), Mihai Ungureanu (bass, backing vocals), Marian Bobiceag (drums) and Theodor Nicolae (guitars).
Over the past 3 years, The dAdA (ex 15 Grade) had over 40 gigs and concerts all over the Bucharest club scene. From underground bars and clubs like Underworld, Big Mamou, El Grande Comandante or The Gate to high profile and social clubs like Hard Rock Café, Music Club, Silver Church, Club A. Also to their portfolio we can add big concerts like the ones at Sala Polivalenta Bucharest or Sala Palatului and tours held around the country with mega rock band Phoenix, on their 2006 Baba Novak Tour. This tour included 11 major cities in Romania: Constanta, Braila, Brasov, Pitesti, Craiova, Arad, Cluj, Miercurea-Ciuc, Bistrita-Nasaud, Iasi and Bucharest. Other event at which The dAdA has participated: The Chestnuts Festival in Baia-Mare to a crowd of over 15.000 and along side renowned artist in Romania such as Stefan Banica Jr., Loredana, Phoenix, Cargo or Mandinga; Phoenix - 45 years opening act at Sala Palatului Bucharest; Casa de Cultura a Studentilor Preoteasa’s 75th anniversary at Crangasi Park in Bucharest; Hot Summer Fest ( Costinesti 2008), where they held over a dozen concerts along side big names in Romania that include Iris, Ovidiu Lipan Tandarica, Zdob si Zdub, Timpuri Noi, Semnal M; Callatis 2008, rock stage; The Students Fest 2008 (Sala Palatului); Unifest 2008 (Izvor Park); Unifest 2007 (Sala Palatului); Christmas Concerts organized by ArCub in 2008 (Unirea Park); The Students’ Gala (Costinesti 2007). TV appearances: TVR 2, Tonomatul de pe 2 (6 consecutive appearances), Neptun Tv (Callatis), Antena 1 (Hot Summer Fest)
