A stimulatingly youthful band, lending their three-year old vitality to their music, (since they got together in 2008), VERSES is a premier among trailblazing melodic death bands in India. Their formative influences are Dark Tranquility, Dimmu borgir, Inflames, Arch Enemy and such others.

They debuted in 2008 through various inter-collegiate gigs. Impressed by their consistent successes at various venues, Flying Machine endorsed them for an year (2010-2011). They consolidated their success streak by releasing an EP on May 1^st 2011, subsequently singing on to MCube Records Label. Their EP Threshold, the title track of which coalesces the themes of a potential musical revolution with enchanting mystic undertones, sold over a thousand copies within the first five months of its release.

Besides headlining a host of shows in and outside Bangalore, this Bangalore-based band has also opened at the Octoberfest 2010, finished as runners-up in the band-hunt to open for Metallica; supported international acts such as Lacuna Coil, Cypher 16, Fractalline; regularly winning both critical and popular acclaim, even for their individual performances. They are fresh from their Strawberry Fields Victory and will be representing India at the Global Battle of the Bands, Bucharest, Romania in June 2012.
