Yelllow is an electro-pop band that consists of Bogdan Diaconesa (bass looping), Didi Dudaievici (vocal & lyricist), and Andi Petreanu (keyboard, samples & FX ). On 1st of January 2010,the boys got toghether and decided to make a mad mix out of the ongoing battle between analog and digital music. By 3rd of June, lead vocal Didi Dudaievici was chosen to complete their team. Thus Yelllow got its true form and desired significance (a fusion between yell ( digital, sharpness ) and low ( bass, down tempo );“L” stands for symbolic words like “love”, “life”, “light”; finally the acknowledgement that yellow stands for the bright, optimistic, happy, dynamic sound of the color it representsJ The band is located as genre somewhere in the range of electronic music( includes dozens of stylistic fusions from danceable grooves to music like chillout and other areas) , trip-hop,experimental, pop, alternative. Currently focusing on live performance and live looping, using the bass line as the driving force, their music has been inspired by: Squarepusher ,Stu Hamm, Pantera, Goldfrapp, Hooverphonic, ImogenHeap,Massive Attack and Roisin Murphy. Their lyrical themes involve youth, fantasy worlds, childhood, reassuring messages for the definition of good vs. everything else and other yelllow concerns. So far the band’s first song release “Naive” was of great success, ranked second place on Radio Guerilla’s TopShow and got the attention of a couple of producers and remixers. At the moment Yelllow is focusing on the upcoming concerts and planning to make an album in the near future + other surprises along the way.
