So it's been a while since ANYTHING was posted on our GBOB site at all! And quite a lot of shit has gone down. Our original Rhythm Guitarist and second vocalist, Mole, has quit the band in order to pursue solo endeavors. He's highly missed, but we salute him nonetheless and wish him nothing but the best.

Our screamer/bassist Dom has been replaced on bass by amazing bassist and vocalist James the GBC. And Dom has now gone to Rhythm Guitar and is still screaming like a badass!

Hey guys, the show is over!! We participated in the first ever global battle of the bands Bahamas festival yesterday! We came in 3rd place amongst the mighty Ira Store, KB's band Stinkin Ways and the Illest reggae band. The winner was ultimately Stinking Ways and so we would like to congratulate them on their success and give them our support in representing our country well in Romania, way to go guys :)!

Tonight!! Avante Guarden performed live at Hammer Heads Nassau Bahamas! The Crowd was awesome and the show was hype, we had a great time and would like to thank everyone for showing up and taking part especially our good friend Derek Donathan who always comes out and supports us!!

Concursul Musical Internațional ”The Global Battle of the Bands” anunță înscrierea formațiilor musicale la Finala Națională GBOB Moldova, ediția a 6-sea, care se va desfășura pe 20 Aprilie 2012, la Albion Club, ora 18:00.

For those of you that can't help waking up really... reeeeally early in the morning, Avante Guarden will be featured on the "Bahamas At Sunrise" morning show on Monday 20th February 20012. In an effort to emphasize our lighter early morning vibe :).. the set will be unplugged and acoustic. Different for us but still it will be fun. Just got back from band practice, we are sounding good and working hard to get the best out of ourselves. We got together at Crazy johnny's rock and roll club and as usual Johnny delivered an awesome sound and great advice. We should be having a show there in the next few weeks so look out for it, we will keep you updated.

So we've just this week registered our band, The Illest, to participate in The Bahamas' first ever Battle of the Bands competition.  There has never been an event such as this in our country.  We're really excited about the opportunity to sharpen our skills against other amazing talent, showcase who we are while continuing to push ourselves to excellence and finally to show to our countrymen the creativity of their Bahamian musicians.  What an awesome blessing for any of us to get a chance…
